ABout the collective

Detroit Produce Club is a farmer-led collective of small urban farms rooted in the neighborhoods of Detroit. Founded in 2024, we came together with a shared vision: to strengthen city-grown agriculture through collaboration, shared resources, and collective pride in what Detroit can grow.

We are growers working on vacant lots turned vibrant fields, backyard plots transformed into productive gardens, and small urban farms woven into the fabric of our communities. Each farm in the collective is independently owned and operated, bringing its own strengths — from greens and high-season vegetables to roots, herbs and flowers. What unites us is a commitment to growing food responsibly, regeneratively, and in ways that honor the land and the neighborhoods we serve. We have a deep commitment to organic and sustainable growing practices. We prioritize soil health, avoid synthetic pesticides and fertilizers, steward pollinator habitats, and use regenerative methods that build fertility over time.

Detroit Produce Club is a farmer-led collective of small urban farms rooted in Detroit. we collaborate to grow, aggregate, and distribute fresh city-grown produce through CSA shares and wholesale partnerships. By sharing resources, planning crops together, and keeping food dollars local, we’re building a stronger, more resilient food system.

grown in Detroit, by Detroit growers.

Through our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program, members receive weekly boxes that reflect what’s thriving across multiple Detroit farms. Every share tells a story of collaboration — harvested by hand, aggregated locally, and distributed with care. Joining our CSA means investing directly in independent growers and strengthening the city’s local food economy.

We also supply wholesale produce to restaurants, institutions, and food businesses that value fresh, Detroit-grown ingredients. Our collective model allows us to coordinate crop planning, share infrastructure, and aggregate harvests efficiently. This creates dependable supply for our partners and greater stability for our farms — keeping food dollars circulating within the city.

Beyond production, Detroit Produce Club is about shared knowledge and mutual support. We collaborate on equipment, distribution, and long-term planning. We solve problems together. We choose cooperation over competition because we believe thriving farms depend on strong relationships.

At its heart, Detroit Produce Club is an investment in Detroit itself — in neighborhood resilience, in small-scale growers, and in a food system that reflects the strength and creativity of this city. When you support Detroit Produce Club, you’re supporting urban agriculture, independent farmers, and a collective effort to grow a healthier, more self-determined Detroit.
